NEW SKILLS CENTRES LAUNCHED

NEW SKILLS CENTRES LAUNCHED

Football development programme launched for youngsters.

The Leeds United Foundation are launching a new Skills Centre programme to help young people throughout Leeds develop their football skills.

The new programme is suitable for all ages but will especially be beneficial for players aged 5-12 years. The centres will focus on individual skills and there will be four main areas for development, including; ball control, movement, passing and receiving and attacking and defending.

All of the coaches delivering the sessions are FA qualified and DBS checked, they will encourage the youngsters to learn new skills and be creative, improve their confidence, work hard, respect each other and most importantly have fun.

Every player that takes part in the new programme will be given a Leeds United Skills Centre booklet which will be packed with information about the course and include a certificate tracking page which will help participants progress from Bronze level through to Gold level.

There will be four different centres at various venues across Yorkshire and they will start from Monday 19 November:

Monday, 6-7pm – Outwood Academy (WF1 2PF)

Tuesday, 5-6pm – West Riding County FA (LS26 8NX)
