Foundation seeking students for their BTEC sport courses.

The Leeds United Foundation are looking for individuals who aspire to have an education in sport and who could therefore be a part of their exciting and vibrant BTEC programme.

In recent years the courses have proved incredibly popular with youngsters in Leeds with a number of them going on to  further education in sport and some progressing onto the club’s official charity’s prestigious foundation degree.

The BTEC Education Programme can also help create opportunities for employment with Leeds United Foundation – this could be as a coach for one of the many diverse and inclusive programmes being delivered by the charity.

The courses currently on offer are; BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Sport, BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport and BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Excellence.

All Year 11 students that are interested in having a career in the sports industry are welcome to attend one of the open day sessions at Elland Road that will go into more detail on each course; there will be four held throughout the next year. The first open day will take place on Wednesday 7 November from 4.30pm to 5.30pm (exact location at Elland Road to be confirmed closer to the date).

The Foundation currently has a 100% pass rate for their students and over the last three years 70% of students have progressed to Higher Education including onto the foundation degree.

There are two ways for students to apply, either through UCAS.com or you can contact Annette.Sheard@leedsunited with your name, DOB, contact details and predicted grades.

For more information on the courses available please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Leeds United Foundation Administration Assistant Annette Sheard (contact above).
