COULD YOU BE OUR CHARITY OF THE YEAR

Applications still welcome to become the Club's 'Charity of the Year' for 2018/19.

The search is on to find a charity to partner up with Leeds United for the 2018/19 season and applications are still welcome.

We have received over 100 submissions so far and there is still the chance to apply, you have until Saturday 30 June.

This is just the first stage of the application process, all submissions will be looked at once the closing date has passed and a panel of staff will then create a shortlist.

Those shortlisted will then be contacted by the Club to arrange a date for a presentation at Elland Road before a final decision is made on who will become our ‘Charity of the Year’ ahead of the new season.

The requirements for those interested in applying are that they are a registered charity making a significant difference to the lives of people across the city. Charities with a clearly defined plan to raise funds for a specific project, with a geographical focus and the intention of creating a legacy for the city, may be given priority over others.

The year-long campaign will see the Club along with the Leeds United Foundation create a special relationship with the chosen charity that would enable us to help increase awareness around the charity, what the charity does and how others can get involved, whilst also having a significant impact on fundraising efforts and supporting with any integral events or projects.

Between the Club and the charity, the aim would be to create a lasting legacy for those who benefit from the charity and those in the local community through a partnership of unity and togetherness. Not only will the fundraising element be beneficial to the charity but crucially the Club will also be able to deliver in terms of awareness and engagement, and creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

The chosen charity will have a home matchday at Elland Road dedicated to their cause giving them the perfect opportunity to engage with tens of thousands of people.

Additionally, the charity will have the support of the Leeds United first-team players who will be available for visits throughout the season and also welcome special guests from the charity to their training facility, Thorp Arch, for behind-the-scenes tours and meet and greet sessions.

Thank you to everyone who has already submitted an application, for those who are interested in applying on behalf of a charity please fill in the information below.
