Leeds United welcomed hundreds of Junior Members to their annual Christmas Party recently with special guests Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood, Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville all in attendance.

Following two years online, the event was once again able to take place in person at Elland Road, in the Norman Hunter Suite, with children of all ages coming along to celebrate the festive season and all things Leeds United.

Ben Shires, avid Whites ‘supporter and local TV presenter, was on hand to host the festivities and he was able to welcome to the stage the young Leeds United stars who were able to make an appearance after training to answer some questions from the crowd and take part in an exclusive quiz.

Italian international, Willy Gnonto, said: “I loved coming along today, especially with the other boys, Crysencio, Joffy and Sam, to see the room of happy faces and hopefully we were able to make their afternoon a bit more special.

“It’s great to be able to do things like this, especially at this time of year, just as a way of saying thank you for all their support - it doesn’t go unnoticed and we are all so grateful for the support we receive.”

During the afternoon party the youngsters were also treated to an appearance from Lucas the Kop Cat, face painters, balloon modellers, along with plenty of games and the chance to get their hands on a number of exciting prizes.
