New shuttle bus service to operate this Saturday

New shuttle bus service to operate this Saturday

A new way to get to Elland Road.

On Saturday a new matchday shuttle bus service will be operating for the first time between Elland Road and Temple Green Park & Ride station, which is located near to Junction 45 of the M1.

The new service is being trialled as part of our long term plans to ease congestion around the stadium and to make the supporter journey to Elland Road as easy as possible.

Shuttle buses will depart from Temple Green Park & Ride from 12:00pm followed by 12:30pm and 1:00pm. From 1:00pm there will be a continuous flow of shuttle buses that will operate straight through to 2:30pm when the last shuttle bus will depart for Elland Road. The buses will operate on a ‘Fill and Go’ basis in order to minimise waiting times for fans using the service.

On Saturday the new shuttle service will be provided at a special trial price of just £3 per car, which is half the price of the car parking available around Elland Road.

To gain access to the TG1 shuttle bus simply show your booking confirmation email to the Leeds United Stewards who will be available to verify your booking and guide you to the next available Shuttle Bus.

Post-match the shuttle buses will start to depart immediately after the final whistle, again operating on a ‘Fill and Go’ basis. There will be multiple shuttle buses parked at the bottom of Lowfields Road and there will be signposts and stewards available to help direct passengers to the specific shuttle buses numbered TG1.

Once each shuttle bus is full, they will be given priority access away from the stadium and directly onto the M621 motorway heading back to Temple Green. It is anticipated that the return journey will take less time than it will take for many of the surrounding roads around the stadium to be reopened.

We hope that the new service will be well received by our supporters and subject to the success of the trial this Saturday, this new shuttle bus service is something that the club will look to operate on a regular basis for all home games throughout the season.
