Take part in Leeds United’s first ever cycling event in July 2018.
Leeds United’s first Cycling Sportive takes place on Sunday 8th July and is open to everyone with any level of cycling fitness.
Leeds United want to promote a healthy lifestyle to all our supporters and so to provide something to aim towards, we are partnering with Fat Lad At The Back (FLAB), renowned for running the friendliest cycling events around, to bring you an awesome day of cycling through the breathtaking Yorkshire countryside.
£5 from every place will be donated to our charity for 2018, Child Friendly Leeds, which is working to bring everyone together to make Leeds a child friendly city, putting children and young people at the heart of a strong economy, in a compassionate city.
FLAB have mapped out three wonderful routes, all setting off from the iconic Elland Road and heading East towards Tadcaster, the rides will take in some spectacular scenery and renown cycling territory. We will have a 25 mile easy/intermediate route, a 50 mile route which is a little more challenging and finally a 75 mile route that is one for the more experienced rider, although maintaining a relatively flat course to keep it accessible.
There will be some hills but this is generally a flat and rolling route and the emphasis as always is on enjoying the ride, offering interesting, varied, challenging and well balanced rides that you only get with local knowledge.
Take part in a wonderful day out, meet some of the Leeds United Legends, and enjoy a cold beer with all the participants at the finish line.
If you're worried about being on your own, there will also be the infamous Flambassador groups where you can ride in a guided and supported informal groups and get tips and encouragement all the way around from the FLAB ambassador cyclists.
