Former defender passes away.
Leeds United have been saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former defender Ugo Ehiogu.
The centre-back played for West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Rangers and Sheffield United throughout his career and won four caps for England.
He spent time on loan with Leeds United from Middlesbrough during the 2006/07 season making six appearances and scoring one goal.
Ehiogu won the League Cup three times, twice with Aston Villa in 1994 and 1996 and once with Middlesbrough in 2004.
He was Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-23s coach and suffered a cardiac arrest at their training ground on Thursday, before passing away in the early hours of Friday morning.
The thoughts of everyone at Leeds United are with Ugo’s family and friends at this difficult time.
