Tickets on sale now for the month-long exhibit
Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez joined Chief Executive Angus Kinnear in helping the Leeds United Trust open their Centenary Exhibition at the Merrion Centre on Thursday night.
Upon opening the event, Angus Kinnear said: "When the club is truly united, it's unstoppable, and that's what we're trying to create. This event is very symbolic of the unity running through the football club at the moment, from the board to the manager, to the players and the supporters.
"To come here and see what a great job the trust has done, it makes me really proud that we've delivered something really fitting for Leeds United and it's Centenary year."
After graciously losing to a young fan at table football, Pablo Hernandez spoke to the media about the exhibition: "It's an honour for me as a player to be part of this club and it's 100-year history. It's really special when you come here and see the collection, see all of the shirts and memorabilia on display. It's amazing and proof that this is a big club.
"When I was young, I learnt about Leeds from when they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League against Valencia. I remember the players from that game, like Viduka and Robinson, so it's nice to come here and be reminded of that."
Supported by the club and Leeds based creative marketing agency Banana Kick, the exclusive collection explores Leeds United's past and present. This unique collection tells the story of 100 years of unforgettable football following the players, managers and loyal Leeds supporters through the decades.
This ultimate tribute to Leeds United includes a whole host of shirts, some of which include Gary Speeds 91/92 title winning shirt, Tony Yeboah’s 95/96 famous volley scoring shirt, cup final shirts, an ultra-rare unreleased to the public all yellow Burton Shirt.
