Leeds United centenary Dream Scene update

Leeds United centenary Dream Scene update

Coming soon.

Back in February, Leeds United commissioned renowned international sports artist Jamie Cooper to create a unique Dream Scene artwork to commemorate the club’s special birthday.

Australian-born artist Jamie has successfully created memorable scenes for Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool and New York Yankees.

Planned to be unveiled next month as part of the club’s centenary celebrations, the three-metre by one-metre oil painting will bring together 27 figures that have contributed to the club’s proud history spanning 100 years.

A dream come true for Leeds fans that could only imagine what a team that includes Billy Bremner, John Charles, Gordon Strachan and Gary Speed would look like.

Assembled in a current day dressing room scene to mingle and swap stories that have become part of Leeds folklore.

It will also offer the keen-eyed supporter many subtle references to key figures and significant moments in the club’s highs and lows over 100 hundred years, and fans will soon be able to purchase their own fine art reproduction of this one-off creation.

It was no small challenge to create such a defining image and we asked the fans to help us decide who should be added to the Leeds dressing room of dreams.

Fans voted on who to add to the prestigious list of Bremner, Charles, Charlton, Giles, Hunter, Clarke, Gray, Lorimer, Strachan, Speed, Radebe, Revie & Wilkinson.

In advance of the official unveiling next month, we unveil that David Batty and Tony Yeboah will be joining the Centenary Dream Scene.
