U21s Preview: Norwich City vs Leeds United

PL2 action on Friday afternoon.

Leeds United Under-21s are back in action on Friday afternoon, taking on Norwich City away from home in Premier League 2 Division 2 action (2pm).

This will be another tough test at the Lotus Training Centre for Michael Skubala’s side, who have had a recent run of fixtures against the top teams.

Norwich are currently fifth in the table in what is a well-contested and tight top end of the table. The Canaries are just five points behind the Whites, who currently sit joint-top of the table with Southampton.

Leeds are aiming to get back to winning ways after suffering back to back defeats, following their return to action after the international break for the World Cup. Those matches saw the side lose their previous long unbeaten run.

Norwich are aiming to turn draws into wins, after finishing level in five out of their 12 matches up to now. One of those clashes was at Thorp Arch earlier in the season, in a 2-2 draw in the reverse of this upcoming clash.

Leading the forward line for the hosts is Abu Kamara. The 19-year-old has netted nine times up to now and also has one assist to his name. For Leeds, Mateo Joseph remains joint-top scorer in the division, with 11.

A win for the Whites could see them overtake Southampton and regain top spot in the standings. Norwich are aiming to move up the table themselves, and a win could see them go as high as third.
