Dane Burlace Shortlisted for LFE Goal of the Season

October's stunning strike against Bolton nominated for award

Former Leeds United Academy player Dane Burlace has been nominated for the League Football Education (LFE)'s Goal of the Season award for his brilliant effort against Bolton Wanderers back in October.

The defender enjoyed a positive season with the U18s, which included a run in the FA Youth Cup that saw the Whites take on Manchester United at Old Trafford, defeating Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday along the way.

Burlace's goal was one of many in the U18s trip to Bolton, as Mark Jackson's side were held to a 4-4 draw, with McMillan and McKinstry also getting on the scoresheet.

Voting is now open to fans, with the defender up against strong competition from Jack Watson (Doncaster Rovers), Lewis Farmer (Sheffield Wednesday), Rob Apter (Blackpool), Jacob Holland-Wilkinson (Preston North End), Harry Anderson (Portsmouth), Tra Lucas (Luton Town), Kyle Tomlin (Mansfield Town).
