Ryan Edmondson named in England U19s squad

The Young Lions will face Greece and Germany

Leeds United Academy striker Ryan Edmondson has been called up to the England U19s squad, as Paul Simpson's side prepare for November's European Qualifiers with two friendlies against Greece and Germany next month.

The Young Lions will face Greece at St George's Park on Thursday 5th September, before travelling to Haiger on Monday 9th September, where they take on Guido Streichsbier's Germany.

Ryan becomes the fifth player to have been called up by England in recent days, with Eddie Nketiah (U21s), Jamie Shackleton (U20s), Jack Clarke (U20s), and Nohan Kenneh (U17s) all heading out on international duty.
