Leeds United were left to rue missed chances as Themis Kefalas scored a 95th minute equaliser for Queens Park Rangers, denying the Whites from taking three points at Nethermoor Park.

QPR had the first chance of the game inside 13 minutes, Deshane Daling won the visitors a free-kick 25 yards from goal, left of centre, which was struck by Charlie Owens and he forced Will Huffer into a decent stop.

Leeds' first opportunity came seven minutes later, Jack Clarke did well to break down the left and win the Whites a corner.  From the set-piece, his delivery went just over the head of Ryan Edmondson and Pascal Stuijk could only bundle an effort wide.

The Whites then went close when Davies played Jordan Stevens into the QPR box, and his deflected effort forced a fine save from Marcin Brzozowski.

Leeds were in a confident spell and Clarke almost broke the deadlock when he was found just inside the QPR area, but he drove his effort just over the crossbar.

At the other end, Ody Alfa tried his luck from the edge of the box for the visitors, but Huffer made a relatively easy stop from his low attempt.

Leeds again went close from a set-piece, this time Clarke crossed a free-kick into the QPR box and Struijk had a free header, but could only put it over the bar.

Leeds had another fine chance to break the deadlock, when Stevens did excellently to keep the ball in play at the byline on the right, before crossing and finding Edmondson, but he was denied by a super one-handed save.

QPR then had two chances before the break, Daling and Armide Oteh combined, with the latter having a strike and then a header well saved by Huffer, to ensure the two sides went in at the break level.

Half time: Leeds United 0-0 Queens Park Rangers

Stevens had the first chance of the second half, when he fired a low effort at goal from a narrow angle and Brzozowski had to make a vital touch to keep his powerful snap shot out.

A quick low corner then caught Leeds out and Amrit Bansal McNulty struck from a narrow angle forcing Huffer into action and from the rebound Daling could only fire over.

Leeds took the lead in the 58th minute, Clarke did superbly down the wing and weaved his way into the QPR box,  he saw an effort on goal well blocked, before he teed up Edmondson to head home from close range.

Moments later, the scores could have been level, Hugo Cardoso broke away and into the Leeds box, but Leif Davis made a super challenge to deny him a shot on goal.

Daling then had an opportunity when he made his way into the Leeds box from the left but Will Huffer superbly denied him.

Clarke should have added a second for Leeds when a Robbie Gotts cross fell to him at the back post, he had time to control and shoot, but blazed his effort over the bar.

Edmondson nearly grabbed a second when he fired a half volley from the edge of the box which went just inches wide, before Dalby had a great chance to score when Stevens found him at the back post with a cross, but he could only put a volley over the bar.

With 10 minutes remaining, Leeds should have sealed the three points, substitute Bobby Kamwa superbly intercepted a pass and played Stevens through on goal, but he put his attempt over.

Leeds then had another chance to wrap up the win, Alfie McCalmont found Kamwa on the right wing with a lovely pass and he broke into the area and teed up Edmondson who struck first time, but his effort went inches wide.

In stoppage time, again the Whites should have added a second, Leeds broke up the pitch and Robbie Gotts went through on goal, but fired over.

Leeds were then punished, when QPR substitute Kefalas slammed home an equaliser from a corner, five minutes into injury time, snatching the visitors a point.
