Corner Flag Cafe
The Corner Flag Cafe project is jointly delivered by the Leeds United Foundation and the Leeds City Council Peer Support Dementia Service, working to support people who are living with dementia and their caregivers.
The initiative has been in place since 2013 with monthly meetings held at Elland Road. Participants are offered help from support workers during the sessions alongside ground tours, video presentations and guest appearances.
The monthly meetings act as a meeting point for members to interact with other people also living with dementia and sees them take part in various group activities including; gathering together to look through old programmes and memorabilia and watching footage of old Leeds United games to help stimulate memories and experiences.
