Forged in the cauldron that is Elland Road, Umair has been watching Leeds since 1993. A season ticket-holder since the mid-90s, he has seen Leeds at their best and a little too much at their worst. Like many fans, football is a family affair for Umair and he attends games with his dad (who also has a season ticket), and has made sure his kids are Leeds too. Although family and work commitments mean away trips are a thing of the past, Umair was fortunate enough to be at San Siro when Dom Matteo scored a particularly good goal. Sadly, he was also at the Millennium Stadium for the 2006 Play-Off Final against Watford, where his heart was broken so badly it never really mended until Marcelo Bielsa put it back together piece-by-piece across his glorious tenure. The last 33 years have seen some incredible (and some not so incredible) players at Elland Road, and Umair's favourite is still The Chief, Lucas Radebe. Even Umair's cat is named Radebe (and he also had a website about him during the late 90s/early 2000s, which got a mention in Eddie Gray's biography - the player, not the cat). Each era brings new challenges, and Umair volunteers his time to the SAB to do what he can to address the challenges faced by those from less-represented backgrounds, like his own. Never one to shy away from a fight, he believes there is no point having a place at the table if you're not going to raise your voice.
