Eddie Gray, affectionately known as “Mr Leeds”, is a Leeds United legend whose name is synonymous with the most successful era in the club’s history. A one-club man, Gray made 579 appearances for Leeds United and scored 69 goals, cementing his place among the club’s all-time greats.

A key figure in Don Revie’s golden generation, Gray played a central role in Leeds United’s domestic and European success. During his time at Elland Road, he won the Football League First Division twice (1968–69, 1973–74), the FA Cup in 1971–72, and the League Cup in 1967–68. He also lifted the FA Charity Shield in 1969 and was part of the side that claimed the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup twice (1967–68, 1970–71).

Renowned for his pace, flair and loyalty, Gray’s contribution to Leeds United extends far beyond trophies, but his honours-filled career ensures his legacy as one of the defining figures in the club’s history.
