To help celebrate the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup, the Leeds United Foundation will be hosting a special event on Friday 28th July, open to young females in the local community.

This World Cup Fun Day is a great opportunity for young girls, aged from six to 15, to enjoy playing football, learning new skills and have lots of fun. The event will take place at West Riding FA (LS26 8NX) and will run from 11am to 2pm.

Youngsters can either come along individually for just a one-off £15 payment on the day, with adults able to watch and stick around for free, or you can bring a long a team of 10 for £125 with them all able to take part.

Some of the activities that will be available to get involved with on the day will include games of five-a-side, skill zones, a treasure hunt, facepainting, the chance to meet Kop Cat, and the chance to get your hands on plenty of Leeds United prizes that will be on offer to win.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup begins on Thursday 20th July and hopefully this event can help create excitement around the tournament and encourage young females to get involved in football.
