Leeds United Women begin their FA Cup campaign with a trip to face Mancunian Unity in Sunday’s 1:45pm kick off.
The Whites have enjoyed success in the prestigious competition throughout the years, notably reaching the final twice in the mid-2000s.
In Leeds’ most recent run deep into the tournament, United earned a mouthwatering clash against WSL powerhouses Arsenal in 2023 at Meadow Park.
This time round, Simon Wood’s side go into the Third Qualifying Round tie in fine form, having won their previous three FA WNL Division One North fixtures.
Last time out, the Whites recorded an impressive 3-2 victory away at high-flying Cheadle Town, with midfielder Kath Smith and striker Amy Woodruff amongst the goals in Cheshire.
That result leaves Leeds second in the division’s standings, just one point behind early pace setters Middlesbrough.
Mancunian Unity stormed to the sixth-division title last season in emphatic fashion, winning all 22 of their matches and finishing with a scintillating +93 goal difference.
The Greater Manchester outfit currently sit fourth in the North West Women’s Regional League, the tier below Leeds on the pyramid, having won four of their seven matches so far this campaign.
Action from the Vestacare Stadium gets underway at 1:45pm.
