Mark Jackson’s Under-23s will face Everton on Monday evening, in Premier League 2 Division One action. The match will take place at York City’s LNER Community Stadium and will kick-off at 19:00.

Leeds head into the game knowing that a win could move them up the table before all teams have a break over Christmas, with the possibility of going above Liverpool into 10th spot.

Everton will arrive in York looking to continue their recent good form, with three league wins in their last four matches. They can’t catch seventh placed Manchester United with a win, but three points for David Unsworth’s side would see them close the gap to just one point on the teams ahead of them.

When the two sides met back in October, Leeds raced into a two-goal lead in the first half. The hosts hit back though, and scored twice in the final five minutes to turn the match around and take the points.

The Toffees are yet to win on their travels this season. From seven matches, Unsworth’s side have drawn two and lost five, conceding 20 goals in the process. At home, the Whites have suffered similar tough form and are also yet to win from their seven games played.

Charlie Whitaker remains the top scorer for the visitors and he’s a familiar face to the Leeds United defence, having scored past them in the previous fixture this season. For Jackson’s side, both Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood have seven goals to their tally this campaign.
