The Whites are flying high in their new league having been promoted last year and come into the game on Friday fresh from thumping Liverpool 5-0 away from home. However, Leeds are yet to win on home turf this season having drawn one and lost one, with all three wins up to now coming on the road.
The visitors are managed by former professional striker, Mike Sheron. The 49-year-old made over 500 appearances throughout his career with various clubs, and was given the role at the beginning of September.
Blackburn are without a win this season both home and away, after drawing three and losing two in their opening matches. The losses have been away, after conceding four times against both Brighton and Manchester City.
From Rovers’ five matches though, goals have not been a problem. They have scored nine up to now and top-scorer Sam Burns will need to be watched closely throughout the game.
Leading the goalscoring charts for the Whites is Joe Gelhardt. The forward made his first team debut in the midweek win over Fulham in the Carabao Cup and will come into the game full of confidence, having netted a stunning double over Liverpool in the last U23s match.
Two other players from Jackson’s side have made their first team debut lately. Crysencio Summerville made his Premier League debut at Newcastle as a substitute and followed up with a start at Fulham, whilst Stuart McKinstry also debuted at Fulham and scored in the penalty shoot-out.
