Mark Jackson’s Under 23s side will travel to face Crystal Palace Under 23s on Monday afternoon (1pm).
The Whites will be looking to make it 10 wins in a row, after going on a nine match winning run which began all the way back in November. Since then, Jackson’s side have been in mesmerising form and created themselves a 10 point lead at the top of the table.
Crystal Palace are towards the top end of the table themselves. Shaun Derry’s side are in 4th place in league standings and have a game in hand over others, as they aim to get as high as they can with the season-end approaching.
Leeds aren’t the only side with a winning record to protect in today’s match. Palace are currently on a five match winning run on home turf, scoring 16 times and only conceding once in those matches, showing how much of a tough test the match will be.
Still leading the way at the top of the scoring charts for Jackson’s side is the duo of Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt, both netting seven so far. The goals have been evenly spread around the squad in recent matches though, showing threats all over the pitch.
A win for Leeds could see them extend their gap over nearest rivals Stoke City, to 13 points. Palace will be looking to catch the teams at the top and three points for them would bring the gap closer to Wolves and Stoke, sitting them on 26 points.
