Leeds United Under-21s host rivals Manchester United Under-21s at Thorp Arch on Good Friday in their latest Premier League 2 outing.
Scott Gardner’s side will be keen to bounce back following their defeat on the south coast to Southampton U21s where they were narrowly beaten 2-1.
Trailing at the interval, the Whites displayed a spirited second half performance which saw Rhys Chadwick convert from the spot to halve the deficit before the full-time whistle.
Despite the encounter ending in defeat, there were plenty of positives for Leeds to take into Friday afternoon’s encounter at Thorp Arch as they aim to move up the PL2 table.
The result against Southampton leaves Leeds with 18 points after as many games, with just a handful of games remaining of the 2025/26 regular campaign.
Prior to the meeting with Saints, Leeds hosted Tottenham Hotspur at the LNER Community Stadium where they ran out 1-0 victors. Dominating throughout, the eventual winner came when Jayden Lienou’s low cross was fired in by the in-form Chadwick.
The opposition, meanwhile, are currently second in the standings and edged past Reading last time out away from home.
The two teams met towards the end of last campaign at the Whites’ training ground and played out a 2-2 draw, with Harry Gray and Chadwick on target for the hosts.
Action from Thorp Arch gets underway from 12:30pm.
