Leeds United Under-21s face Aston Villa Under-21s at home on Monday evening, with the match taking place under the lights of Elland Road (7pm).
The Whites come into the match with an opportunity to return to the top of the league table, after conceding late in their last match away at Newcastle United, meaning they only picked up a point.
Currently sat third in the standings, Leeds are two points of top - with new leaders Nottingham Forest putting together a strong run of form to go past the Whites and previous league leaders, Southampton.
When Leeds and Aston Villa met earlier in the campaign - back in August - Sonny Perkins scored twice in the 2-1 success, as the Whites returned from the West Midlands with the points.
Villa still have strong promotion hopes of their own, and they will come to Elland Road looking for three points which would take them back into contention. A win would move the away side up to fifth, which is a play-off spot.
In a hotly contested division - with teams having games in hand on one another - the gap between the top six is just seven points, meaning everything is still to play for in this second half of the campaign.
Monday’s visitors come into the match with the best away record in the division, up to now. From their six matches, they have won four, drawn one and lost one - scoring 15 times in those matches.
On home turf, Leeds have been strong with matches played at Thorp Arch, Elland Road and the LNER Community Stadium in York. Six games across those venues has seen four wins, one draw and one loss - matching their upcoming opponents away form.
Last Monday’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle saw Mateo Joseph net his 12th of an impressive goalscoring campaign. Also scoring his last goal against the Magpies, Declan Firth leads Villa’s scoring charts, he has six.
