Leeds United Under-21s return to Premier League 2 action on Sunday afternoon, facing Arsenal Under-21s at York’s LNER Community Stadium.
The Whites impressed last time out despite falling to a late 2-1 loss away to Liverpool Under-21s. United led for much of the game, thanks to a penalty both won and converted by striker Marley Wilson.
Previously in league action, the Whites beat Reading 2-0 in Berkshire. Harry Gray and Rhys Chadwick were on the scoresheet before they were edged out 1-0 by Stoke City on home soil.
And, in the Premier League International Cup, Scott Gardner’s side’s campaign came to an end after a youthful side were beaten by an impressive RSC Anderlecht outfit.
Leeds currently sit 18th in the congested PL2 standings with 14 points from their opening 11 encounters, just one place and one point below the visiting Gunners.
Arsenal go into the clash having won their previous fixture 1-0 against Burnley, though to that point they had gone six matches without a win, including a 7-0 defeat to Liverpool in January.
The teams last met two campaigns ago, playing out a 1-1 draw which saw former player Charlie Allen net in the first half for Gardner’s team.
Action from the LNER Community Stadium gets underway at 12:30pm.
