Leeds United’s Under-21s are back in Premier League 2 Division 2 action on Friday night, where they will face Aston Villa away from home (19:00).

The Whites have won once and drawn once in their opening two matches of the season. A thumping 5-2 win away at Derby County on the opening day was followed up with a 2-2 draw on home turf against Norwich City.

Villa have also drawn one and won one in their first two games. The 3-3 draw against Middlesbrough was a frustrating one after initially having a three-goal lead in the game, before they followed up with a thumping 4-0 win away at Sunderland on Monday evening.

Mateo Joseph has been on form early in the season and already has five goals to his name! Fellow forward Sonny Perkins has scored twice, netting once in each match up to now.

For Friday’s hosts, 19-year-old Brad Young has scored three times in his first two matches, and is clearly a player to keep an eye on for the Whites defence.

The two teams sit second and third in the league table at this early stage, but with only two matches played up to this point, there is still plenty of movement to be expected as the campaign progresses!
