Two young supporters nominated for awards

Duo up for local awards.

Caiden Child of Courage (5)

Two young Leeds United supporters have been nominated for some incredible local awards, and we would love the LUFC family to get behind them – Noah has two nominations at The Yorkshire Choice Awards, whilst Caiden is up for the Child of Courage Award.

Four-year-old Noah sadly lost his sight in 2025 due to a tumour on his brain caused by lymphoma. He is a familiar face at Elland Road and a well-loved character, having built a special relationship with captain Ethan Ampadu during his fight against cancer.

Noah was incredibly brave throughout his battle and time in hospital, taking everything in his stride with a smile on his face and last summer he was able to ring the bell to signal the end of his treatment. Since then he has lead the team out for a Premier League fixture and also starred in the club's Christmas campaign.

The youngster is up for 'The Rob Burrow Outstanding Courage Award' and 'Inspirational Individual of the Year' title, both fitting following the journey Noah has been on and the bravery he has shown throughout. Voting closes on Sunday 1st March and to vote for Noah, please fill out the form by clicking here.

Caiden is a 15-year-old fan who is currently battling a rare form of mouth cancer. In December, he was in attendance for the Leeds United first-team's annual festive visit to Leeds Children's Hospital and had the opportunity to meet and have a chat with the players. Caiden and his family were then invited to Elland Road for the recent fixture against Arsenal.

The Child of Courage Award that we would like you to nominate Caiden for is part of the Local Hero Awards 2026 hosted by Your Harrogate Radio, dedicated to a child who has shown extraordinary courage and bravery and is truly deserving of the title 'Local Hero', which Caiden demonstrates on a daily basis in his fight against cancer.

The winner of the Child of Courage award will be announced on the 8th of May. To vote for Caiden, please click here.
