Adam Forshaw, Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts joined some special guests on Tuesday afternoon with the help of the club’s official charity partner, Yorkshire Cancer Research.

The Leeds United trio spent time chatting with various supporters that have all been impacted by cancer, in one way or another. Those in attendance on the Zoom call had varying background stories and experiences to share, including youngsters and adults that had suffered or are currently suffering with cancer, families that had dealt with the death of loved ones, carers for those suffering with the disease and a nurse who has spent years working on a children’s cancer ward.

To help spread some festive cheer among the group at what can often be a difficult time of the year for many - Adam, Luke and Tyler wanted to take some time after training to answer some of their questions and thank them for their ongoing support.

Some of their questions included finding out more about the life of a footballer and life under Marcelo Bielsa, what the players really think of the Leeds United supporters and how they deal with the pressure of playing for such a big club, and what their favourite Christmas traditions are.

Adam Forshaw spoke to LUTV following the call, and said: "Christmas can be such a special time of year but it's important to remember that families and individuals may also be really struggling during this time of the year for various reasons.

"I know that the people we joined are like millions of people out there, who have either lost someone to cancer, fought the disease themselves or watched and supported a love one with cancer.

"We really enjoyed taking part in the call today and being able to interact with the supporters and hopefully we were able to put a smile on their faces, and if we were able to do that then it is always worthwhile."
