Leeds United Women FC have introduced three more new faces to their squad for the 2019/20 season. Ahead of their game against Chorley on Sunday afternoon at Thorp Arch (3pm KO), we give a warm welcome to Megan Hughes, Elisha Hardcastle and Millie Ash. You can learn a bit more about the trio of new signings below...
Megan Hughes
Megan started playing football at just six-years old at her local club, Wigton Moor, before joining the Leeds United Foundation Regional Talent Club (RTC) programme. Following her progression with the RTC she then made her way into her first senior team as a defender for the Guiseley Vixens, playing during the 2018/19 season before making her move to the Leeds United Women FC first team.
Elisha Hardcastle
Elisha plays as a midfielder and started playing at Under-10s level for Brayton Belles before spending the majority of her youth playing for both Fulford and Castleford White Rose. She then started playing for Farsley Celtic Ladies in the 2016/17 season before joining the Guiseley Vixens Development squad last season where she made her way into the first-team and picked up the Development Team Player of the Year Award. Elisha coaches at the Wildcats Centre based in Selby and has just started a degree in Outdoor Sports.
Millie Ash
Millie plays as a left-winger and previously played for WPL Guiseley Vixens, making a number of appearances for their first team, before making the move to Leeds United. She is looking forward to being a part of the senior squad for the Whites and wants to help the team as they look for promotion during the 2019/20 campaign.
