Greatly respected Leeds United Head of Local Recruitment, Terry Potter, will step down from his role at Leeds United Academy next month. Following Terry’s departure, the club will announce him as the first ever Ambassador of Leeds United Academy.
Terry has been responsible for leading the department which has found some of the academy’s finest talent from across the region. The Leeds born man has worked for Leeds United’s Academy for 20 years, finding some of our greatest academy players.
Players such as Kalvin Phillips, Ronaldo Vieira, Jamie Shackleton, Charlie Cresswell, Alex Mowatt and the latest being Archie Gray, have been recruited by Terry and his network of scouts, along with hundreds of other youngsters looking to make their way in the game.
Head of Academy Adam Underwood said: “Terry is a popular member of the team who has played his part in driving the club forward by securing some of our best academy prospects over a long and successful career. We are delighted by the news that he has agreed to remain involved as Academy Ambassador for many more years to come.”
Director of Football Victor Orta added: “Terry has recruited some top talent over the years and we are forever grateful for this. He will remain a regular fixture at Thorp Arch and at Elland Road.”
