Marcelo Bielsa has made a number of changes to the Leeds United starting line-up that will face Chelsea on Saturday afternoon at Elland Road.
Leeds will be looking to bounce back in what is set to be another difficult Premier League fixture, but the team are back on home turf with an attacking starting XI announced.
Captain Liam Cooper misses out on today’s game, with Pascal Struijk replacing him in the centre of defence after missing the last few weeks himself through injury. The young defender is joined by Diego Llorente and Luke Ayling with Gjanni Alioski also back in the starting team. Illan Meslier starts in net, making his 27th Premier League start.
Jack Harrison also forms part of the starting line-up and he will be looking to add to his goals and assists tally for the 2020/21 campaign today, that currently stand at six and four respectively.
Kalvin Phillips starts in midfield alongside Stuart Dallas, with Brazilian Raphinha joined by Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford, who makes his 100th appearance for the club this afternoon, up front.
Robin Koch has made his way back to fitness after months out of the side and features on the Leeds United bench along with Helder Costa, Rodrigo, Gaetano Berardi, Mateusz Klich, Jamie Shackleton, Ian Poveda, Jack Jenkins and goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.
The match is live on BT Sport and kick-off is scheduled for 12.30pm. If you do not have access to BT Sport you can follow the live Leeds United blog online.
