Leeds United face Heart of Midlothian FC this afternoon in our final pre-season friendly match ahead of the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season.

Daniel Farke has chosen his starting XI for the game, with Illan Meslier in net, whilst captain Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk and Leo Hjelde join him in defence.

Summer signing Ethan Ampadu links up with Archie Gray in the midfield, with Dan James and Luis Sinisterra covering the wings and Georginio Rutter is joined by Crysencio Summerville up front to complete our attack.

The substitutes bench today features goalkeeper Karl Darlow for the first time, along with Charlie Cresswell, Patrick Bamford, Darko Gyabi, Sam Byram, Ian Poveda, Wilfried Gnonto, Joseph Gelhardt, Jamie Shackleton, Mateo Joseph and Kristoffer Klaesson.
