Ao Tanaka has been named in Japan's squad for their upcoming November international friendlies.

The Leeds United midfielder has been selected by head coach Hajime Moriyasu as the Blue Samurai prepare to take part in the inaugural Mizuho Blue Challenge – The Kallang Football Series Singapore.

Japan will first face Brazil on Saturday 14 November, with kick-off at 10:15am (GMT), before taking on Paraguay on Tuesday 17 November at 1:10pm (GMT). Both fixtures will be played at the Singapore National Stadium.

Tanaka has earned 45 caps for his country since making his international debut and will be looking to add to that tally during the upcoming double-header.

The 28-year-old was also included in Japan's squad for their September and October international fixtures, featuring in all four victories against Uruguay, Venezuela, Ecuador and New Zealand.

His appearances included Japan's 2-1 victory over New Zealand, which saw Moriyasu's side lift the Kirin Cup in Tokyo.
