Leeds United midfielder Ao Tanaka and manager Daniel Farke have been nominated for October’s Sky Bet Championship Player and Manager of the Month Awards, respectively.
The Whites remained unbeaten throughout the month, starting with draws away at Norwich City and Sunderland, before impressive home victories over Sheffield United and Watford followed at Elland Road, with a goalless draw against Bristol City away rounding off October’s schedule.
Since earning a first start of the campaign away at Carrow Road, Japanese international Tanaka has played every minute for United, forming a great partnership in the middle with teammate Joe Rothwell.
Last season, German boss Farke picked up the accolade in January and February during a strong run of form for the Whites.
Other players nominated were Tom Cannon (Stoke City), Rubin Colwill (Cardiff City) and Borja Sainz (Norwich City), alongside managers Paul Heckingbottom (Preston North End), Roger Le Bris (Sunderland) and Omer Riza (Cardiff City).
Winners will be announced on Friday 8th November.
