Leeds United’s Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas spoke to the media following Sunday’s win over West Ham United.
The Whites were 3-2 winners at the London Stadium in the Premier League, with the Whites recording back-to-back victories in the top-flight for the first time this season.
Dallas spoke of his pride for his team-mates in the performance, as the Whites moved nine points above the relegation places.
“It’s a huge win for us,” said Dallas.
“We took a lot of confidence from last week’s game, I know we came here and didn’t get anything in the cup, but we knew we could come here and put on a performance, we started the game really well and we had a bit of luck on our side as well.
“We wanted to build on the Burnley performance obviously and we’ve come here and put on a great display.
“We’ve come here against a team that is flying high, nobody probably gave us a chance, but we have done and we go back up the road happy.
“In terms of injuries, it’s been the story of our season, we seem to get a few players back and then lose a few and we are well used to it now.
“We regroup, stick together, we don’t complain, there is an honest bunch of lads in the dressing room and I’m delighted for them.
“A couple of young lads have played today, Pascal Struijk has come back in after a few weeks out and put in an unbelievable performance and even for the young boys on the bench, what an experience for them to come here against a team like this in a stadium and get the win.
“We’ve got to aim higher than our current league position but be realistic at the same time.
“We’ve got a huge game at home to Newcastle next weekend, they’re going to come looking for three points and we have to put a performance in like today, if not better.”
Dallas also spoke about Jack Harrison, who netted his first Premier League hat-trick in the victory.
He said: “Jack is a special talent and a great lad as well.
“His finishes today were all very well taken, even the second one, he’s got in around the back and we worked on that.
“We’re delighted for him and hopefully he can push on now as well.”
