Scotland call up for Leeds United captain Liam Cooper

Defender in line to face Israel, Slovakia and Czech Republic

Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has been named in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for their upcoming fixtures against Israel, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Having won the Championship title in the summer and made his 200th appearance for the club on Sunday, Cooper will be turning his focus to the national side as they aim to qualify for next year's European Championships.

The Tartan Army must first navigate a tricky semi-final play-off against Israel on Thursday 8th October 2020 (7:45pm) at Hampden Park.

Scotland then continue their Nations League campaign with two games against Slovakia (11th October 2020, 7:45pm)  and the Czech Republic (14th October 2020, 7:45pm), both at Hampden Park.

Steve Clarke's men currently top League B Group 2 having beaten Kazakhstan 3-1 and drawn against Israel 1-1.
