The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Rotherham United have been confirmed, with Andrew Madley set to take charge.

The Yorkshire based official is part of the Select Group 1 and FIFA list of referees. He took charge of a Premier League match for the first time in March 2018.

The last Leeds match he refereed was in May 2023, when Manchester City recorded a 2-1 win over the Whites at the Etihad Stadium in the top-flight.

Saturday’s fixture will be the eighth time Madley has taken charge of a Leeds match and his first at Elland Road. Leeds have won three and lost four of the matches when he has officiated.

Madley has refereed Rotherham on six previous occasions, the last coming in November 2020, which was a one-nil victory for Luton Town at the New York Stadium in the Championship.

Rotherham have failed to win any of the matches when Madley has refereed, drawing three time and losing three times.

Madley’s last match refereeing this season, was Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League last weekend.
