Leeds United forward Rodrigo is expecting another tough game this weekend, as the Whites prepare to welcome Everton.

With four goals in our final four games of last season, the Spanish international has had a full pre-season with Leeds United, and is looking forward to playing in front of a capacity home crowd for the first time.

"This is the real football. The atmosphere of the first game was great, our fans were amazing, and I'm sure it'll be a fantastic experience to play in front of a full Elland Road.

"We're all really excited and we want to show what we're capable of in front of our fans. We know our last game wasn't our best, but that's part of football, there's a long way to go. The main thing is that, at the end of the season, our fans are proud of how we performed. That's the objective."

Rafa Benitez enjoyed a winning start to his reign as Everton manager last week, dispatching Southampton 3-1, with Richarlison, Doucoure and Calvert-Lewin all on the scoresheet.

"Everton have a really good team. They had a good game previously against Southampton, and I think it'll be a tough game." said Rodrigo.

"We are in the Premier League, you never have an easy game, every game is a big challenge, a big fight, and the next one will not be any different. We will prepare for the game as best as we can, and we are confident going into the game."

Having joined less than two weeks before the 2020/21 season kicked off, Rodrigo spoke of his happiness at having a full pre-season this summer, and his aims for the new campaign.

"It was really important for me to have a full pre-season with the club, as with every player, it's an important part of the preparation. It's true that with the Euros, some players didn't start from the beginning, but it was a good pre-season, and we're looking forward to a good year."

"From a personal point of view, it's always to do better than the last, but I want to try and help the side reach our goals this season. Last season, we had a really good season, probably a lot more than people expected from us, so we have a big challenge this season to not only try and repeat this, but to improve on what we did."
