Summer signing Rodrigo has discussed Leeds United’s start to the season, ahead of Monday night’s Premier League clash with Leicester City.
Leeds come head into the match on the back of an excellent 3-0 victory away at previously unbeaten, Aston Villa.
Patrick Bamford netted a hat-trick against Dean Smith’s side, with all goals coming in the second half and Rodrigo offered his thoughts on the win and was quick to praise his teammate and fellow strike partner.
“I think Patrick is having a very good start to the season and scoring a lot of goals, he’s an important player for us,” said Rodrigo.
“I think we have improved our game together, the strength of this team is the group.
“We don’t have stars in the team but we play very well together and we feel that is our best strength.
“We knew that Aston Villa were living a great moment and playing very good football, but we are a team that want to go for the game and don’t wait for the result.
“I think we dominated the game from the start until the end, for sure, it was a great performance from us and it gave us a lot of confidence for the next games.”
Brendan Rodgers’ side will arrive at Elland Road after a midweek win in the Europa League, away at AEK Athens.
Jamie Vardy was once again on the scoresheet for the Foxes, after also scoring the winner last time out away at Arsenal and Rodrigo spoke about the opponents.
He said: “It will be a tough game.
“In all the games in the Premier League, we can see the results are very difficult to predict.
“I think we have a lot of teams that can win against anyone and of course it will be a very difficult game, we need to be prepared for it.
“In my opinion, we need to play each game as the last one.”
