Leeds United supporters have voted Joe Rodon’s towering header against West Ham United as the club’s JD Sports Goal of the Month, claiming a commanding 62% of the vote.
Rodon’s effort saw off competition from Noah Okafor’s strike against Tottenham Hotspur (24%) and Brenden Aaronson’s finish against West Ham (13%) to take the honours.
The Welsh defender’s goal came in the 15th minute of Leeds’ 2-1 victory over West Ham at Elland Road, sealing three vital points in a tightly contested fixture.
After Aaronson had fired Leeds ahead inside three minutes, Rodon doubled the advantage midway through the first half — strutting past Lucas Paquetá and rising above both Jean-Clair Todibo and Max Kilman to nod home Sean Longstaff’s corner in emphatic fashion.
Mateus Fernandes struck late for the visitors in the 90th minute, but Leeds held firm to secure the win and maintain their impressive home form.
The commanding header continues Rodon’s fine run of performances in what has been a standout campaign for the centre-back, whose defensive solidity and aerial threat have made him a fan favourite at Elland Road.
