The Leeds United Foundation will be hosting a special event at Elland Road to recruit new members for a number of their Health and Wellbeing projects for 2022.
The Health and Wellbeing team are currently delivering four different programmes within the club's official charity, including the Fit Fans and Fit Minds programmes, Walking Football sessions along with a brand-new initiative called Working Out Together.
The event will take place on Tuesday 11th January from 6pm to 7.30pm at Elland Road and there will be coaches on hand to speak with those in attendance about the ins and outs of each programme – this will include dates for sessions, itineraries for sessions, what you can achieve through being part of the various initiatives and the kind of support you will be given by coaching staff through joining one of the programmes.
This is an information-based evening to ensure those who may be interested in signing up are given the chance to ask any questions they might have and meet the coaches that will be delivering the sessions, whilst also giving you the opportunity to meet other participants that may be on a similar journey to you.
There are weekly sessions held for each of the programmes, with some free of charge for participants and some with either a session-based price attached or a monthly fee. Each programme involves some form of physical activity but there are also educational benefits to help improve knowledge around health and wellbeing.
