The Leeds United Foundation launched a new campaign called #ReachingOutTogether recently to encourage the participants they work with to be creative and positive during this difficult period of time.
The campaign is centred around the key workers that are working hard every day to provide services across the country to ensure we are all as safe as possible along with the vulnerable people who are isolated and unable to spend time with their families and loved ones.
In the midst of everything happening at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic it is the perfect time to be grateful for what we do have, to spend time doing positive activities and to say thank you to those who really deserve it whilst helping to put a smile on the faces of the people in our local communities that need it the most.
Coaches at the Leeds United Foundation have provided a number of #ReachinOutTogether templates to the families and individuals they work with across a number of their programmes, encouraging them to write a thank you letter that can be distributed to local hospitals or draw a special picture showcasing the incredible work of the key workers or to create a poem that can be sent to a local care home for elderly residents – the options are endless and it is something that families and children can enjoy doing together, all you need to do is have fun with it and be as creative as possible.
If you would like to create something yourself whilst you are spending so much time at home, feel free to join in with the campaign and you can showcase what you have done on social media using #ReachingOutTogether and the club can choose some of the designs and letters to display on the website.
