Leeds United Women can confirm the signing of 28-year-old, Rachel Hindle, who joins the club after departing Chorley FC Women.

The Whites have moved quickly to secure the signing of one of the league’s stand-out performers as soon as she became available and Hindle will now be available for immediate selection.

Expected to make her debut in Thursday night’s FAWNL clash against West Yorkshire rivals Bradford City, Rachel will wear the number 20 shirt for Leeds.

Primarily a winger, Hindle can operate on either side in attacking areas, and has already impressed her new teammates and coaching staff in training.

The new signing also played against Leeds for old club Chorley earlier in the campaign, showing a goal-scoring touch to find the back of the net in the 2-1 success for her previous side.

After confirming the new addition to his squad, manager Dan O’Hearne gave his thoughts.

He said: “As soon as I knew Rachel was available, it was a no brainer to bring her into the football club.

“She has slotted in effortlessly in training and has shown her undoubted talent which she possesses.

“Rachel is a predominantly a right sided player who can play anywhere on that side of the field, whilst being versatile enough to switch when needed. I believe she will be an excellent signing for us and I can’t wait to see her in action.

“What’s very important for me as well is to look at the person before the player, and she is certainly someone we know will fit in well with the group, with an excellent attitude.”
