Leeds United face West Bromwich Albion away from home in their final match in the calendar year of 2023!

The Whites travel to the Hawthorns in this 8.15pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports, looking to return to winning ways after defeat last time out.

On Boxing Day, Daniel Farke’s side lost 2-1 away at Preston North End due to a late winner from the hosts. Friday’s opponents are aiming to build upon their Boxing Day success, having defeated Norwich City on home turf.

When the two teams met at Elland Road in August, Luke Ayling scored a second half equaliser to cancel out Brandon Thomas-Asante’s opener just after the interval. That meant a point apiece, in we all contested game.

Now into the second half of the campaign, the two teams are separated by just one place in the standings, with six points between them. Leeds are fourth after 24 games played, whereas the Baggies are in fifth.

Carlos Corberan’s side have proven to be a tough side to face for opposition forwards up to now. They’ve conceded just 23 times, which is the second lowest in the league.

At the other end of the pitch and leading the scoring charts for each side, Thomas-Asante will continue to pose a threat as he did earlier in the campaign, he’s on eight. For Leeds, Crysencio Summerville has 11 for the season.

The overall head-to-head record is in favour of Leeds. Since a first meeting in 1924, United have won 38 games, whereas Albion have won 33 and 20 games have ended in a draw.

Kick-off in the West Midlands is at 8:15pm and supporter information can be found further down the page, as well as streaming information for fans around the world.
