Preview: Watford vs Leeds United

Whites face the Hornets.

Vicarage Road

Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday evening, as they travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford, with action getting underway at 7:45pm.

The Whites go into the clash in fine form in the league, having won their previous two fixtures after being held to a goalless draw by Burnley.

An emphatic, record-breaking 7-0 scoreline came against Cardiff City at Elland Road, before Daniel Farke’s side cruised past Coventry City away from home, picking up a 2-0 victory.

Attentions then turned to Emirates FA Cup duties at the weekend, though United bowed out of the competition with a narrow defeat on home soil.

Leeds sit at the summit of the second-tier standings with 66 points collected from 31 games, whilst Watford find themselves in 10th as they look to close the gap to the Play-Off positions.

Tom Cleverley’s side had lost their previous three outings before they faced Sunderland last time out, picking up an impressive 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light.

The teams have already met once this campaign, with the Whites coming out victorious in West Yorkshire. A whirlwind start had brought goals from Largie Ramazani and Brenden Aaronson inside the opening seven minutes, before the encounter eventually finished 2-1 to the hosts.

Action from Vicarage Road gets underway at 7:45pm.
