Leeds United travel away from home in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday, taking on Southampton away from home (12:30pm).

Daniel Farke’s side are on an impressive run of six matches unbeaten, having comfortably dispatched of Watford last time out at Elland Road.

Goals from Joel Piroe, Sam Byram and Jaidon Anthony secured the three points and as well as the goals, the defensive line secured their fourth successive clean sheet in the league.

Southampton started the season well, with three wins and a draw from their opening four matches. However, since then, Russell Martin’s side have struggled.

A 5-0 loss away to Sunderland was followed up with another heavy defeat at home to Leicester and a 1-0 loss, also at home, to Ipswich Town. Last time out, the Saints took the lead away at Middlesbrough but fell to a 2-1 defeat in the North East to make it four losses on the bounce.

Martin’s side can boast one of the most potent goal threats in the league. Adam Armstrong has been a regular scorer in the EFL during his career and has started this season well, with five goals up to now, which is the joint most in the league.

Looking to catch the Saints striker up and having an impressive start to his Leeds career, Joel Piroe is now on four after arriving at Elland Road over the summer.

Look at recent matches, Southampton have won just one of the last seven meetings between the two teams in all competitions, which was 1-0 success on home turf in the 2021/22 season.

The last Championship meeting these two teams played came back in 2011/12 season, where the Saints won both matches home and away which helped them to a second placed finish and promotion to the Premier League.
