Leeds United Women face a tough test of travelling away to Norton & Stockton Ancients LFC on Sunday afternoon (1pm), in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Second Round.
The clash was originally due to take place last weekend, but due to adverse weather conditions across the UK, the game was postponed and quickly rearranged for this weekend.
Dan O’Hearne will take his side up to the North East once again, after defeating Hartlepool United Women in the previous round to reach this stage. That win saw the Whites run out comfortable 4-0 winners in an impressive display.
Sunday’s opponents Norton also impressed in the last round, also netting four goals away from home! They travelled to face local opponents South Shields, running out 4-1 winners on the road and setting up the clash this weekend.
Both teams know that the reward should they win this weekend is a home tie in the Third Round, against Championship outfit Durham.
We will have a full match report and reaction to the game on leedsunited.com.
