Whites travel to Norton.

Norton Sports Complex

Leeds United Women are back in FA Women’s National League Division One North action on Sunday, travelling to Norton & Stockton Ancients for the third time this season.

Following on from the weekend’s game against Stockport County Ladies, which was won 3-1 thanks to goals from Alice Hughes, Drew Greene and Ellie White, Simon Wood’s side make the trip to Norton in the league this time.

Previously, the Whites ran out winners on penalties against the hosts in a goalless draw, in a FA Cup third round qualifying clash. Before that, a 2-2 draw in the FA WNL Cup group stages, with Hughes and Abbie Graham netting.

Our hosts are coming in off the back of a 6-1 win over York City Ladies in the league, but most recently, they saw off league-leaders Cheadle Town in the Durham County FA County Cup.

Action from the Norton Sports Complex gets underway at 2pm.

The view from inside the camp:

Ahead of the clash, opening goalscorer last weekend Alice Hughes said: “The squad's feeling really good ahead of the game on Sunday. I think the mood in camp at the minute is really positive. The massive theme around us all at the minute is we are very much a squad, and every single person is important, whether you're starting or coming off the bench.

“Every single person plays a vital role in what we're trying to achieve. I think winning always helps. It always helps to improve the mood around camp and we're all working for each other."
