Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Division One North duties this weekend as they welcome Stockport County Ladies to the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
The Whites will be keen to bounce back from a narrow defeat last time out, which saw Simon Wood’s side beaten 3-2 by Barnsley, despite goals from Drew Greene and Alice Hughes at Oakwell.
Before that encounter in South Yorkshire, United were impressive in their most recent home fixture, proving too strong for Norton & Stockton Ancients in a 3-0 victory.
That afternoon, Kath Smith and Greene once more were on target early on for the hosts, before Hughes powered a header into the back of the net after the break.
The Whites sit fifth in the standings with 32 points collected from 19 games, whilst visitors Stockport find themselves in eighth place.
Last time out, the Hatters were beaten 4-1 on the road at Chorley though an emphatic 3-0 victory over struggling AFC Fylde previously had all but confirmed safety for the Cheshire outfit.
The two sides have met once this season, when an Amy Woodruff goal looked to have put Leeds on course for three points at the Stockport Sports Village, however the hosts cruelly levelled proceedings in the dying seconds through Jess Brady.
Action from the Bannister Prentice Stadium gets underway at 2pm.
