Leeds United Women return to the So-Trak Stadium in Tadcaster on Sunday, to take on Middlesbrough Women in their latest FAWNL Division One North clash.
Both teams go into the match looking to extend their winning runs, after the Whites put four past Stockport County Ladies on Wednesday evening, which was their second win of the season after overcoming Yorkshire rivals Hull City on the opening day.
Boro have won two from two so far, one at home and one away. Travelling away to Bradford to get their season underway, a 2-1 victory there was followed up with a 4-2 success at home to Chorley last time out.
Eve Marshall is currently leading the goalscoring charts for Sunday’s visitors - she has two up to now - but the goals have been relatively evenly distributed across the team in the opening stages.
For Leeds, Abbie Brown is topping the scoring stats after netting twice against Stockport in midweek, but like their upcoming opposition, again the goals have been spread relatively evenly in the first few games.
Rick Passmoor’s side are currently fourth in the early-season standings, with Boro just above in third. The early pace-setters are Barnsley who have won three from three.
