Leeds United return to Sky Bet Championship action as they welcome Sunderland to Elland Road for an exciting encounter under the lights on Monday evening.
The Whites go into the match in fine form, winning their last three fixtures in the league in resounding fashion without conceding a goal.
After emphatic victories over Cardiff City and Coventry City, Daniel Farke’s side travelled to Watford during the week and dominated at Vicarage Road once more.
A Dan James brace and long-distance Manor Solomon effort had seen United go into the break three goals to the good, before wonderful footwork saw Joël Piroe finish off a fine move to add a fourth before full-time.
That result left Leeds top of the Sky Bet Championship standings before this weekend’s action got underway, seven points clear of fourth-placed Sunderland.
The Black Cats have enjoyed an impressive season to date under boss Régis Le Bris, who joined the club in the summer from French outfit Lorient.
From their previous six outings, Monday’s visitors have won three and drawn three, most recently beating Luton Town 2-0 at the Stadium of Light.
Action from Elland Road gets underway at 8pm.
